Communications Committee to shortlist candidates for SABC board
The Portfolio Committee on Communications, having revised its first-term programme due to Parliament’s tight schedule, will tomorrow, 28 February 2019, shortlist 24 candidates to be interviewed to fill the eight vacancies at the board of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
Also as part of changes to the programme, the committee will no longer conduct exit interviews with those who resigned from the current board.
The names of shortlisted candidates will be published on Parliament’s website for public comments and interviews will be conducted from 5 to 7 March 2019.
