Parliament hosts no-confidence debate for Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, 22 Mar

The debate on the proposed motion of no confidence on the National Assembly (NA) Speaker, Ms Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, is arranged in line with Section 52(4) of the Constitution and NA Rule 28.

The No Confidence debate request was a sequel to the removal of protesting Economic Freedom Fighters Members of Parliament, some of whom jumped onto the stage, during the tabling of the State of the Nation Address (SONA) by President Cyril Ramaphosa at the joint sitting of the National Assembly and the National Council of Provinces on 9 February 2023.
