The Portfolio Committee on Public Service and Administration holds public hearings on Public Administration Management Bill
The Portfolio Committee on Public Service and Administration will hold the public hearings on the Public Administration Management Bill.
The proposed legislation aims to, among other things, provides for the transfer and secondment of public servants (who possess necessary skills and knowledge) across all spheres of government, promote high standards of professional ethics in the public service, and facilitate the eradication and prevention of corrupt and unethical practices in the public sector.
If passed into law, the bill will ensure that the employees who are transferred between the national, provincial and municipal institutions will have their remuneration and conditions of service not less favourable than those on which they come from.
