The Portfolio Committee on Police will tomorrow, 21 October 2014 seek answers from SAPS top management regarding the 2013/14 crime stats and establish what strategies SAPS has in decreasing the concerning crime rate.
The Committee will also be briefed on how SAPS plans to optimise its Visible Policing Unit towards the fight against crime. SAPS will also table its plan of how it intends improving its administrative systems in order to ensure an efficient running of the South African Police Service.
