Basic Education Committee Chairperson Hope Malgas to attend Education Labour Relations Council (ELRC) announcement

The Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Basic Education, Ms Hope Malgas, will tomorrow, 17 February 2014 attend the announcement by the Education Labour Relations Council regarding the collective agreement on permanent appointment of temporary teachers in the Eastern Cape. 

The Chairperson was invited because the Council recognises and appreciates the oversight role of the Portfolio Committee on Basic Education, which is a vital mandate that ensures the effective delivery of education services.
