PanSALB to hand over certificate of excellence to 2022 Gauteng Matric top achievers
The Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB) Gauteng provincial office in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Education and Sport, Arts and Culture is on Thursday, 16 February 2023, scheduled to handover certificate of excellence to the 2022 Gauteng matric top achievers at the School for the Deaf, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan municipality, in Johannesburg.
This is part of the institution’s efforts to promote the use of mother tongue and the furtherance of multilingualism in the country, which also aims to observe the International Mother Language Day celebration.
MEC for Gauteng Department of Education, Mr Matome Chiloane, MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Mr Morakane Mosupyoe, and the PanSALB CEO, Mr Lance Schultz are expected to lead the hand over, which will focus more on learners who have excelled in African Language subjects.
