Northern Cape Department Transport, Safety and Liaison will be hosting Sports Against Crime programmes in commemoration of the 16 June 1976 uprising. The Sports Against Crime project serves as an alternative to criminal activities by getting them involved in sports. Our stakeholders will include Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, SAPS and Safety Volunteers.

There will be various sporting codes such as Soccer and Netball matches and all participants will receive certificates after the games. Other youths will also be participating in indigenousness games.
