The North West Provincial Treasury through its Provincial Supply Chain Management (SCM) programme, in collaboration with the National Treasury, will host a workshop for SCM officials on the changes effected on the Central Supplier Database as well as the various challenges relating to the database on the 9th September 2026 in Rustenburg.
The Provincial Chief Procurement Officer, Advocate Thomas Sekoboane expressed that the workshop will target SCM officials across all provincial departments, public entities and municipalities within the Bojanala and Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipalities. The session seeks to address all challenges experienced within the CSD, unpack the many recent changes effected on the system that officials must be abreast with and empower officials to assist suppliers effectively and efficiently.
The workshop will also include representatives from the South African Revenue Service (SARS) and the four major banks. Their participation is crucial as issues relating to SARS information and banking details, and how such information is captured on the CSD system, sometimes hinders the successful processing of supplier payments.
The National Treasury will also workshop officials on the new CSD User Management Information System (MIS) that has been introduced by the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO).
