From Tuesday, 15 – 17 January 2013, the North West Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Education, Sports, Arts and Culture will be conducting oversight visits to various schools in the province, including farm schools and special schools.
The purpose of the visit will be to assess the schools’ readiness for 2013 and challenges these schools are facing, especially farm schools. After the visits the Portfolio Committee will then interact with the Department of Education to see how best those challenges can be addressed.
Members of the Provincial Legislature will also interact with the learners and teachers to see how the North West Provincial Legislature can assist them.
All visits start at 9h00 and will commence on the following schedule;
