On Thursday, 28 May 2015, the North West Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Premier, Treasury, and Enterprise Development will be conducting public hearings on Financial Fiscal Commission Amendment Bill (b 1B-2015).
The public hearings will be held at Ngaka Modiri Molema District Embassy Hall Mahikeng, Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Banquet Hall Klerksdorp, Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District Banquet Hall Vryburg, and Bojanala District Town Hall Brits and will start at 10h00.
The Financial and Fiscal Commission Amendment Bill, seeks to amend the Financial and Fiscal Commission Act 1997(the principal Act); to effect changes to the provisions dealing with the functions of the Commission; to ensure that the terminology used and consideration of the Commission’s recommendations are aligned to the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, and other legislation.
