MECs for Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation and Tourism (DEDECT), Department of Agriculture and Rural Development(DARD), Department of Community Safety and Transport Management and Department of Public Works and Road will on Tuesday, 23 July 2019 table their Department’s budget speeches at the North West Provincial Legislatures at 9h00.
The MECs are expected to reflect on their Departmental achievements and challenges in the past financial year and further outline the new policies and commitments for this financial year. The MEC’s will also outline their plans to implement the 6th administration priorities through their departmental programmes.
The budget speeches further seek to outline the departments’ expenditure proposals in line with Premier’s State of the Province Address which will be anchored around the implementation of programmes that seek to improve the socio-economic conditions of people of the North West Province.
Furthermore, the budget speeches will make provision for the implementation of the shared service model for infrastructure development.
