North West SCOPA and Local Government Committees to visit Greater Taung Municipality
Today, 4 March 2014, the North West Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Local Government and Traditional Affairs together with the Standing Committee on Public Accounts will be holding a joint oversight meeting with Greater Taung Local Municipality at the Municipal Chamber at 17h00.
The Committees will interact with the municipality over its current state of affairs including matters pertaining to governance; bulk infrastructure; service delivery; corruption; and successes and challenges.
The meeting will be attended by the Mayor, Members of the Municipal Council, Municipal Manager including senior management of municipality and the representatives the Department of Local Government and Traditional Affairs.
