On Tuesday, 18 August 2015, North West Provincial Legislature’s Joint Portfolio Committees on Tourism and Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development will be conducting an oversight meeting with the Department of Tourism, and Department of Rural Environment and Agricultural Development over financial matters of Dirapeng (Pty) Ltd in Rustenburg Municipal Chamber, Civic Centre at 09h00.
The departments will also present a progress report on the establishment of North West Tourism Board and North West Parks board respectively.
After the meeting, the Committees will join the National Parliament’ Select Committee on Land and Mineral Resources oversight visits to Madibeng Local Municipality until Wednesday, 19 August 2015. The Select Committee will inspect the level of integration of mines’ social and labour plans into the current municipal integrated development plans and local economic development strategies. The municipality and representatives from regional offices of Department of Mineral Resources.
