On Friday, 16 March 2018, the Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Hon. Sussana Dantjie will host the Women Sectoral Parliament Feedback Session at the Rustenburg Kloof in the Bojanala District at 16h00.
The feedback session will allow a commemoration of the International Women’s Day which is held annually on the 08th March and acquire responses on issues presented previously on the Women Sectoral Parliament held on the 18 August 2017. The sectoral parliament was held as a constitutional mandate of participatory democracy and to celebrate women’s month under the theme: “Celebrating 20 years of the Constitution: Legislation Empowering Women”.
Amongst issues registered by women who formed part of the event, were in relation to impact of outreach programmes of Domestic Violence, Marriage Act, a biblical perspective on different categories of marriage (Civil, Customary and Polygamy) as well as the Role of the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offence Investigation Unit.

- Women from the Bojanala District
- Women from the North West Provincial Legislature
- Officials from the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (Outreach Directorate); and the South African Police Services (Domestic Violence Unit).
