On Friday, 08 September 2023, the Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Hon. Basetsana S.R Dantjie will host the Provincial Speakers’ Forum at the Madibeng Local Municipality Chamber at 10h00.
The forum is made up of Speakers from different local and district municipalities led by the Legislature Speaker, Hon. Dantjie. Amongst others, this quarter the forum will focus on Voter Education, voter registration and campaigns and the Independent Electoral Commission has been invited to present on those.
The forum also invited the Department of Home Affairs to form part of the meeting and to present on Identity Documents (ID) Campaigns and uncollected Identity Documents. Different Speakers and senior management from all the municipalities including officials from the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) and Home Affairs are expected to attend the meeting.
The meeting will be live streamed on the North West Provincial Legislature Facebook page.
