On Friday, 1 December 2023, the North West Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Premier, Finance, Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs will be conducting public hearings on the North West Finance Bill on Unauthorised Expenditure, 2023 and North West Adjustments Appropriation Bill, 2023 at Makgori Community Hall in Makgori, Mahikeng Local Municipality; Mogopa Community Hall in Mogopa, JB Marks Local Municipality; Sekhing Tribal Hall in Sekhing, Greater Taung Local Municipality and Moretele Community Hall in Moretele, Moretele Local Municipality at 10h00.
The North West Finance Bill on Unauthorised Expenditure, 2023 seeks to authorise certain unauthorised expenditure in respect of 2014/15 up to and including 2020/21 financial year and to charge the Provincial Revenue Fund, and to provide for matters incidental thereto.
The North West Adjustments Appropriation Bill, 2023 seeks to effect adjustments to the appropriation of money from the Provincial Revenue Fund for the requirements of the Province in respect of the 2023/24 financial year; and to provide for matters incidental thereto.
Relevant stakeholders have been invited to attend the public hearings.
