The North West Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Premier, Finance, Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs will conduct special oversight visits on the North West Housing Corporation’s cross border properties (residential/business/vacant land) in the following respective provinces; Gauteng, Free State and Northern Cape on 4-15 July 2022.
The objective of the special oversight visits is to investigate and validate the state and functionality of North West provincial government’s properties which are located in the three provincial cross borders. During the oversight visits, the Committee will check the overall state and condition of the properties; actual value and purpose of the properties; nature and type of the properties, and validate the actual current value and exact location of those properties and their state of functionality. The oversight visits are also aimed at ascertaining the existence of these unaccounted property, including the potential revenue loss/gain for the province.
