North West Legislature MPLs to plant food garden and donate food parcels in Piet Plessis on Mandela Day
On 18 July 2015, the North West Provincial Legislature under the leadership of the Speaker, Hon. Sussana Dantjie together with the Members of the Legislature in collaboration with the Department of Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development will plant a food garden at Piet Plessis village near Ganyesa in Kagisano Molopo Local Municipality as part of Mandela Month commemorations at 09h00.
The Legislature will also plant trees and donate food parcels to 30 families within the community.
The initiative proposed by the Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Hon Susan Dantjie was to adopt the community that would be visited by the legislature every year during the month of July in honour and in memory of the Late Tata Madiba to see that government services reach them. The Legislature will continue to commemorate Mandela month in Matlosana, Madibeng, Tlokwe and Tswaing Local Municipalities on Friday, 24 July 2015.
