North West Legislature Speaker Celebrates the Centenary of Mama Sisulu by  Hosting Stakeholders’ Dialogue to Tackle Health Issues in the Province

On Friday, 31 August 2018, the Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Hon, Sussana Dantjie will be hosting the Stakeholders’ Dialogue under the theme “Celebrating the Centenary of Mama Albertina Sisulu”  at Indoor Sports Centre next to James Motlatsi Stadium in Orkney at 10h00.

A panel of expertise and opinion makers in the health fraternity have been invited including, Dr Leburu and Dr Kanku from the Department of Health; and Mr. Tumelo Mosebi, a Director for Environmental Health in Dr. Kenneth Kaunda District. The three will make presentations on various health issues to about 350 stakeholders that includes  Health NGOs, Community Health Workers and Home based Care Organisations.

Panel discussions will take place as part of enhancing oversight and cultivating a culture of robust debates within the province.

The outreach programme was launched by Hon. Dantjie to afford the Executive an opportunity to account to the people of the North West on the work and commitment by government; and to provide an opportunity for people of North West to engage government and table their expectations. As part of preserving the legacy of Mama Sisulu, who was a professional nurse, Hon Dantjie saw it fit that this Stakeholders’ Dialogue should tackle health issues affecting the province.

Members of the media are invited to attend.
