North West hosts Bokone Bophirima Agricultural Growth and Investment Show, 20 to 23 Nov

North West Province to host the 4th annual Agricultural Growth and Investment Show, BBAGIS

The North West Department of Rural Environment and Agricultural Development (READ) will host the 4th Bokone Bophirima Agricultural Growth and Investment Show (BBAGIS) which is a flagship annual event held at Kgora Farmers Training Center situated in Ramatlabama outside Mahikeng town.

The show will take place from the 20th to 23rd of November 2018. The main aim of this agri-show is to bring stakeholders from government and the private sector together to exchange ideas, formulate innovative strategies to create access to agricultural markets and improve the province's agricultural competitive and comparative advantage through the value chain.

The show is also aimed at encouraging the youth to get involved in the agricultural sector and introducing the public to the diverse range of consumer products produced by the sector.

It is a four days of farmyard fun and agri-education ideal for leaners, students, farmers, horticulturists, researchers and other professionals. Exhibitors, industry experts, breeders, pastoral product producers and farmers from and across the country are expected to attend this annual show.

Attendees will experience world-class animal and products displays, animal parades, demonstrations, farm fresh products, competitions, agri-machinery, equipment and lots of fun for the whole family.

The show will also feature exhibitions where farmers can check out the latest developments, technology, equipment and more in the farming world.

It will be also a great opportunity for school groups or little ones who barely leave the concrete jungle to learn more about the agricultural sector as there will be a number of educational interactive activities geared toward both young and old.

Since its inception three years ago, BAGGIS has firmly established itself as one of the premier agricultural shows in the North West Province and the country at large. The show is open to all sectors of the farming community.
