The North West Department of Health will kick start the National Immunisation Campaign 2013 to give polio drops and measles vaccine to children at Tlhabo ya Letsatsi pre-school at Ramatlabama 600 village on Monday, 29 April 2013.
The campaign which is scheduled to start at 09h00 will have two rounds. During the first round, which is scheduled from 29 April to 17 May, will see children aged 9 to 59 months receive measles injection. Also in the first round children under 5 years will receive polio drops.
The second round will run from 17 to 28 June. During this round, children under five years will receive polio drops. During the course of the immunisation campaign health care workers will be giving measles injections and polio drops to children at health care facilities. Health care workers will also be visiting crèches, and pre-schools.
