North West Government engages communities through Setsokotsane Operation Centre, 13 Sept

MECs set to engage communities through Setsokotsane Operation Centre

As part of the Bokone-Bophirima Provincial Government’s concerted effort to pursue and strengthen public communication, Members of Executive Council (MECs) will tomorrow - Wednesday, 13 September 2017, telephonically engage with members of the community on service delivery issues for a one-hour long.

To be hosted through the toll-free Setsokotsane Operation Centre which was launched by Premier Supra Mahumapelo last year, the engagement will allow residents of Bokone-Bophirima to raise service delivery complaints, suggestions and compliments directly with MECs responsible for different provincial departments.

The Bokone-Bophirima Executive Council had last year resolved to promote active citizenry and strengthen development, democracy and accountability by ensuring that MECs in their busy schedule set aside some time to take calls from members of the public through the Setsokotsane Operation Centre and bridge the communication gap.

To this end, this initiative which has been embraced by different communities has resolved many concerns and has been lauded as a responsive platform to facilitate and address service delivery issues.

Members of Executive Council will take calls from 07h30am until 08h30am tomorrow Wednesday, 13 September 2017 and the public is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.

The Setsokotsane Operation Centre which its Head Office is in Mahikeng, operates 24-hours a day, seven days a week, and its toll free number is 0800 111 700.
