The North West Department of Economy and Enterprise Development in partnership with Bakgatla Ba Kgafela Tribal Authority and Ultrapex Communication will be hosting the Mahikeng Supadrift 2015 Extravaganza on the 25 to 26 September 2015, at Mmabatho Stadium Parking lot.
This motor sporting event will be coming to Mahikeng for the third time after experience has confirmed that people of Mahikeng like Drifting.
The purpose of hosting the event is attracting people and the purchasing power to Mahikeng to benefit the economy of the town in particular and the Province in general. Local small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) and Cooperatives will directly benefit from exhibiting their products ,sell food and refreshments at the event. The event will also promote tourism and benefit the hospitality industry, especially the accommodation establishments since it is to attract commuities from all four districts of the province and the neighbouring countries.
“As a department we are mandated to create a conducive environment for small businesses, and by hosting such events we are affording them the opportunity to showcase their products and also attest to the world that the Province is capable of hosting big events”, said MEC Wendy Joy Nelson.
