Ngonzo meets Education Development Officers and Chief Education Specialists

The Eastern Cape Education department today, 18 January, 2013, is hosting Education Development Officers (EDOs) and Chief Education Specialists (CES) at the East London Education Leadership Institute (ELI).

The meeting is being addressed by the Acting Head of Department, Mthunywa Ngonzo and seeks to give them the message of the Eastern Cape government about education with specific focus on their roles and what the government expects of them.

The meeting started at 10h00 and is scheduled to continue up until three today. The Acting Head of Department will also update them about the “Teaching and Learning Priorities for 2013” as contained in the 2013 Action Plan.

This Action Plan (2013) highlights key priorities and deliverables for the 2013 academic year as endorsed by the extended Top Management of the Education department. Additionally, this plan also specifies what needs to be done to improve the current state of affairs in delivering education to the class.
