After today’s engagement with National Treasury on the general outlay of what irregular, unauthorised and fruitless expenditure is about, the committee will commence with the actual business of approving unauthorised expenditure from a number of departments.
The Standing Committee on Public Accounts will tomorrow be briefed by National Treasury on unauthorised expenditure in the following departments:
1. Trade and Industry - amount for consideration is R37,4 million
2. Presidency - amount for consideration is R45,506 million
3. Home Affairs – amount for consideration is R1.1 billion
