The Deputy Minister for Public Service and Administration, Ayanda Dlodlo will host a provincial Community Development Workers (CDWs) and Practitioners Workshop on the 5 April 2013 in Mpumalanga.
The workshop will serve as a feedback session from the National Community Development Conference held in Gauteng on 14 to 15 March 2013 for all CDWs and community practitioners based in the province.
With the theme, ‘’Empowering Community Development Workers through access to information for service delivery improvement” the workshop will empower CDWs with information that will enable them to take government services to their communities.
Presentations will include, the State of the Province Address and its translation to action by CDWs, South Africa’s progress on the Open Government Partnership (OGP), creating an understanding of how Government Communicates through the GCIS and the information centres.
