Last week, the Federal Republic of Germany made an undertaking to increase its investment in Africa, and more especially, South Africa.
In this vein, H.E. Ms Ilse Aigner, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection of Germany, and the South African Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, H.E Ms Tina Joemat-Pettersson, will hold a bilateral meeting in Pretoria next week.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss matters relating to current agricultural and trade policies, world food security and cooperation in vocational training. The meeting will culminate in the signing of a statement of intent regarding cooperation in the field of initial and continuing vocational training for favourable economic development of an agricultural holding and for providing the population with safe food.
Members of the media are invited to interact with both Ministers and their delegations.
