Ministers Mmamoloko Kubayi and Gwede Mantashe  embark on vaccination oversight in North West, 29 July

The North West Province will on Thursday, 29 July host a high powered delegation of National Ministers who will visit the Platinum Province to monitor the progress of vaccination in the tourism and mining sector.

Tourism Minister and Acting Minister of Health, Mmamoloko Kubayi, Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Mr Gwede Mantashe and Premier of the North West Province, Prof Tebogo Job Mokgoro will lead the proceedings of the day.

They will be joined by North West MEC for Health Madoda Sambatha, MEC for Department of Economic Development Environment & Tourism Kenetswe Mosenogi, as well as the Bojanala District Executive Mayor and the Executives of the Sibanye-Stillwater mining company.

As one of the hotspots and mining district, Bojanala has to date accumulated 59 058 COVID-19 positive cases. The vaccination drive is much needed for population immunity at a time when the Province is beginning to show signs of recovery from the third wave.
