Minister Zizi Kodwa to lead celebration of Dr John Kani in Van Toeka Af event
Department of Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Zizi Kodwa invites all media to the recognition event to celebrate South African stage and screen legend Dr Bonisile John Kani.
This celebration will be the fifth edition of the Van Toeka Af Living Legends Recognition Series, a Department of Sport, Arts and Culture initiative which recognises and acclaims South Africa’s living legends in the creative and cultural sectors.
In a career spanning nearly 60 years, Dr Kani has been a pioneer and standard-bearer as a playwright and actor in theatre and films locally and internationally. Today, Dr Kani continues to receive acclamation for his work in theatre and film.
