Department of Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Zizi Kodwa will host a breakfast for Banyana Banyana and SPAR Proteas, South Africa’s national women’s football and netball teams respectively. The breakfast will take place on Thursday, 17 August 2023.
This breakfast is a celebration of two teams that have raised South Africa’s flag high. Banyana Banyana became the first senior South African national women’s or men’s football team to progress beyond the group stages of the FIFA World Cup. The SPAR Proteas fought gallantly as the host nation in the first ever Netball World Cup to take place on African soil.
