On Monday, 18 February 2013 Western Cape Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Alan Winde will visit businesses operating in the Western Cape’s film sector. Minister Winde will visit a film studio, a film school and a production house.
The aim of the visit is to highlight the successes and potential of the region’s film industry in light of two Western Cape-made films being nominated in the 2013 Academy Awards (Oscars).
Minister Winde will visit the following businesses:
10h00 to 10h40: Triggerfish (The Long House, Dreyersdal Farm, Dreyersdal Farm Road, Bergvliet, Cape Town) – (studio)
11h00 to 11h40: Big Fish (The Foundry, Unit 109D, 74 Cardiff Road, Green Point, Cape Town)
12h00 to 12h40: X-Con Films (7 Coen Steytler Avenue, 22nd Floor, Metropolitan Building, Foreshore, Cape Town)
There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
