On Tuesday, 29 January, 2013, Western Cape Minister of Tourism, Alan Winde and the CEO of Wesgro, Nils Flaatten, will release the December 2012 tourism figures for the Western Cape at a press conference at the Cheetah Outreach Centre in Paardevlei, Somerset West.
The press conference will provide a detailed picture of tourism activity in the whole of the Western Cape during December 2012, and discuss strategies and campaigns that Wesgro, the Western Cape’s official Destination Marketing agency, will drive in 2013 to draw tourists to the Province.
After the press conference, Minister Winde and Mr Flaatten will tour the Cheetah Outreach Centre. Cheetah Outreach is a community-based programme dedicated to raising awareness about the plight of the cheetah. There will be a photo opportunity with Minister Winde, Mr Flaatten and the cheetahs.
There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
