Minister Thulas Nxesi inspects the Mthatha High Court 2 November 2018
Public Works Minister Thulas Nxesi, will be visiting the Mthatha High Court construction site, for a quality inspection walkabout. The court is currently going through major upgrades and repairs costing just above R100m.
During the construction of the court, R30m has been reserved and awarded to local SMMEs in a bid to empower and expose them to huge contracts. The court complex has six courtrooms, eight judge’s chambers, a library, a cash hall, prison cells with secured drop off and pick up of prisoners and administration offices.
The court is expected to be completed in August 2019.
The Minister will also be in Mthatha to talk to the Mthatha Regional office staff of the Department of Public Work.
