The Department of Public Works awards bursaries to deserving leaners
You are cordially invited to a bursary award ceremony for learners from 15 schools across the country participating in the Department of Public Works’ schools programme.
The schools programme is aimed at promoting the teaching of Maths and Science as well as the Built Environment professions.
The department adopted 15 schools in the Schools Programme piloted in 5 regional offices of DPW, including Polokwane, Mabatho, Kimberly, Mthatha, Port Elizabeth and Head Office (Pretoria).
Public works Minister Thulas Nxesi will be awarding these bursaries to 50 learners who will persue built environment careers including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Property Valuation, Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Town Planning.
Each bursary is valued at R120 000 and will cover tuition, residential fees including three meals, textbooks, academic projects and resources including monthly allowance.
