The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Ms. Thembi Nkadimeng, will be vising Mpumalanga Province as part of the ongoing engagements with Municipalities and Provinces.
The countrywide engagements with Provinces and Municipalities are part of the efforts to support local government in terms of Section 154 of the Constitution, geared to address persistent challenges that impede the effective and efficient functioning of municipalities.
The Engagement will also be attended by MEC of COGTA: Mr Mandla Msibi; SALGA; Executive Mayor of Gert Sibande: Cllr Walter Mngomezulu; Executive Mayor of Govan Mbeki LM: Cllr NG Zuma; Mayors of Dipaleseng LM, Dr JS Moroka LM, Govan Mbeki LM, Lekwa LM, Msukaligwa LM, Thaba Chweu LM and the Provincial House of Traditional Leaders.
