Minister Susan Shabangu hosts symposium on labour exploitation of women and women’s march, 21 and 22 Aug

Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women, Susan Shabangu will partner with the Minister for Women and Gender Affairs from Lesotho to host a symposium on trafficking and labour exploitation. The symposium is an outcome of a request by the Minister for Women and Gender Affairs from Lesotho, due to the challenges the Women from Lesotho are facing in South Africa.

The symposium will be followed up by a ceremonial march where Women from South Africa and Lesotho will meet at Maseru Bridge and hand over a Memorandum demanding the end to Women and Child trafficking to Authorities from Lesotho and South Africa. This event will also continue with the theme “We are Africa”.

Minister Shabangu will also visit the graves of those who lost their lives during the Maseru Raid.
