Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams uplifts small businesses in Mbombela, 11 Jan

Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams will on Thursday, 11 January 2024 hand over machinery and equipment to ninety (90) informal traders to the value of R1.3 million in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, as part of the department’s Informal and Micro Enterprises Development Programme (IMEDP) programme. These enterprises are operating mostly in the clothing, construction, baking, hairdressing, catering, retail and services sectors.

IMEDP is a 100% grant that seeks to grow informal and micro enterprises to their full potential by assisting to improve their competitiveness and sustainability. This programme targets SMMEs that are owned by women, youth and people with disabilities, in townships and rural areas of South Africa.
