Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams and Deputy Minister Pinky Kekana lead freedom walk and economic opportunities expo inter-ministerial outreach programme in Ntabankulu, 13 Apr

The Minister and Deputy Minister of Communications, Ms Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams and Ms Pinky Kekana, will lead an inter-ministerial outreach programme in Ntabankulu, Eastern Cape on 13 April 2019.

Other government ministers including the Ministers of Basic Education, Higher Education & Training, Police and Deputy Ministers of Labour, Economic Development and Trade & Industry are expected to join the outreach.

The “Walk and Economic Opportunities EXPO” is an annual programme conducted in collaboration with other government departments, SoCs and private stakeholders to expose youth, unemployed and entrepreneurs to a wide array of academic, career and business opportunities. This year’s event in Ntabankulu is accordingly aligned to the commemoration of 25 years of freedom.

The Ntabankulu Freedom Walk and Economic Opportunities EXPO will be preceded by a host of build-up programmes such as digital marketing, coding, 3D-printing, graphic design, domain-name-reselling, entrepreneurial skills development, media and elections training. Government services for SASSA card beneficiaries and DTT set-top box registrations for qualifying households will unfold as follows:

The Freedom Walk and Economic Opportunities EXPO on April, 13 will commence with a 3km walk, leading into an economic opportunities exhibition centre where the community will be able to interact with participating organisations and further receive services on wheels. The programme will be concluded with a community Imbizo.
