The Minister of Sport and Recreation SA, Mr Fikile Mbalula, will present the South African Swimmers with a cash injection to participate at the FINA World Championship this year.
"We have noted the difficult situation South African swimmers find themselves in due to lack of sponsorship. These young people remain the pillar of hope for the country during mega events, and it is our role to assist where possible over and above what government give to Swimming SA annually" Minister Mbalula stated.
Mbalula further stated that with cash injection to Swimming SA, the expectation is huge that the championships will unearth new names that will take us to Rio and further.
