The Minister of Human Settlements, Lindiwe Sisulu together with the stakeholders in the industry will tomorrow, 17 October 2014, sign the Social Contract for the Development of Human Settlements towards the delivery of 1.5 million housing opportunities by 2019.
The signing ceremony comes after the engagement between the Department of Human Settlements representing government, and the private sector represented by among others: mining sector, banking sector, NGOs, COSATU and construction companies.
Meeting under the theme “Building partnerships towards the delivery of 1.5 million housing opportunities by 2019”, the National Human Settlements Indaba seeks to mobilize and commit different human settlements stakeholders to rally behind government to deliver 1.5 million housing opportunities in the next five years.
