Members of the media are invited to join the Minister of Transport, Ms Sindisiwe Chikunga, PRASA Executives and Board members at the official opening of the Leralla to Germiston passenger railine as part of the rail recovery programme of infrastructure and stations by PRASA. The official opening will be preceeded by a train ride led by Minister Chikunga.
The Leralla to Germiston line forms part of the 18 corridors recovered to date by PRASA,
and plans are underway to extend the services from Germiston to Johannesburg.
This programme continues to ensure that PRASA's passenger rail claims its rightful place as a backbone of the public transport system in the Country.
