The Minister of Transport, Ms. Sindisiwe Chikunga will on Saturday, 21 October 2023 join and give a keynote address during a Prayer Day orgarnised by the South African National Taxi Association (SANTACO) at Botshabelo Stadium in Bloemfontein, Free State province as part of the Department’s October Transport Month campaign for this year.
The SANTACO Prayer Day aims to raise awareness and find meaningful solutions to the challenges of taxi violence, gender-based violence and femicide and drug abuse, which continue to confront the society.
The Day of Prayer will be attended by the leadership and membership of the Association, the leadership of the National Taxi Alliance and taxi industry, leadership of the Free State province, the leadership of the church and interfaith organisations, leadership and representatives from labour unions and members of the community from the province and across the country.
