NMBMM Executive Mayor, Cllr Eugene Johnson to host Water and Sanitation Minister, Mr Senzo Mchunu
Joint efforts by the Minister of Water and Sanitation, Senzo Mchunu and Nelson Mandela Bay Executive Mayor, Eugene Johnson continue as national government and the municipality are working to ensure the municipality does not go without water.
Cllr Johnson, joined by the Minister will commission the Kwanobuhle Pump station. The Kwanobuhle pump station at Chelsea reservoir will enable wider distribution of water from Nooitgedacht Water Scheme to ensure more communities have running water.
Following the commissioning, the Minister and Mayor will pay a visit to teams undertaking leak repairs, and later, hold a community engagement at a venue to be announced.
Minister Mchunu and Cllr Johnson will also lead a site inspection of Churchill Dam the following day, Tuesday July 5th.
