The Minister of Water and Sanitation Senzo Mchunu and the Mayor of the eThekwini Municipality Councillor Mxolisi Kaunda will on Wednesday, 20 December 2023 host a water Imbizo in efforts to address water supply challenges currently being experienced in some parts of the eThekwini Municipality.
The Imbizo will be held at the King Zwelithini Stadium and will be attended by various government stakeholders from national, provincial and local government, including the Deputy Ministers and MECs.
During the imbizo, which is expected to attract thousands of people, members of the public will be given an opportunity to raise their lived experiences in as far as water supply is concerned, while leaders from all spheres of government will give responses on interventions being employed to address the challenges.
The Imbizo is part of efforts by government to directly engage with communities on basic services and other issues affecting their livelihoods and devise means to address these challenges.
