On Sunday, 13 July 2014, and Monday, 14 July 2014, Dan Plato, Western Cape MEC of Community Safety, will be continuing his visits to the youth holiday programmes under the Youth Safety and Religion Partnership (YSRP) programme.
The Youth Safety and Religion Partnership (YSRP) Programme is a flagship initiative of the Department of Community Safety (DoCS) aimed specifically at increasing safety through implementing targeted anti-social behaviour and youth initiatives in partnership with the religious fraternity of the province.
On Sunday, 13 July 2014, MEC Plato will join the Muslim Youth Movement (MYM), an organisation providing 150 youths with among others workshops on drug awareness, for an interfaith Iftaar – the breaking of the fast.
On Monday, 14 July 2014, MEC Plato will visit the Macassar Jesusbende during their life-skills workshop on cultivating positive values and taking ownership and responsibility over their own lives.
