Minister Patricia de Lille to visits KwaZulu-Natal to assess damaged state-owned buildings and sites for new bridges to be installed

As part of government’s response to the devastating floods in the KwaZulu Natal province, Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Patricia de Lille along with the Deputy Minister, Noxolo Kiviet will be visiting various sites to inspect damage to state-owned builldings.
 
Minister de Lille will also be visiting three sites where new bridges will be installed as part of the existing Welisizwe Rural Bridges programme in the province. 
 
The Minister will be joined by management representatives of DPWI entities in the built environment as well as Infrastructure South Africa head, Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa and his team to assess the damage and formulate a plan to build bridges and repair damaged buildings. So far around 50 government owned buildings have been affected by the flooding.
