Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Public Works and Infrastructure oversight visit -28 and 29 August 2019
Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Patricia de Lille and the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Public Works and Infrastructure cordially invites you to an oversight visit to Agrément South Africa (ASA) tomorrow, 28 August 2019 at the CSIR, Pretoria, at 09:00 to 15:00.
The purpose of the visit is to provide in depth understanding of the Department’s entities and ensure that members of Parliament get first- hand knowledge of how the entities are governed, administered, and what the current operational status of the entity. Amongst the entity’s mandate is to conduct testing and certification of innovative building material and systems.
The Parliamentarians will engage representatives of the boards and the senior management of each entity on key maters such as challenges emerging from their strategic plans, their previously tabled annual reports and audit opinions of the office of the auditor general on their financial statements.
On Thursday, Committee will continue their oversight visit to the Eric Molobi Innovation Hub, Soshanguve, Block XX, Pretoria to inspect housing projects which were built using innovative and cost saving measures. The event will take place at 11:00 – 14:00.
