South African Air Force hosts a prestige day parade at air force base Swartkop in Pretoria

The South African Air Force will host a Prestige Parade to celebrate its 97th birthday at Air Force Base Swartkop in Pretoria, on Friday 2 February 2018 at 9h45. The purpose of this event is to celebrate and acknowledge exceptional performance by Directorates, Bases, Squadrons and Units.

The event is also meant to thank all members of the Air Force for their dedication, loyal support as well as work performed during the previous year.

The Minister of Defence and Military Veterans (MOD & MV) will officiate as the main functionary, while the Chief of the Air force (CAF) will be the Review Officer. Bases, Units and Squadrons will be nominated in various categories such as Royal Air Force Training Award, Aviation Safety Award, Fire and Rescue Services and System Group Directorate of the Year to mention but few. You are cordially invited to send a reporter and/or cameraperson to cover the event.
