Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula addresses Women’s Day Parade
Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, will on Thursday, 29 August 2019, join the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) to pay tribute to all female serving members at the annual Women’s Day Parade in Thaba Tshwane, Pretoria. The Women’s Day Parade is an annual event held in commemoration of Women’s Month.
The parade will also commemorate the more than 20 000 women who protested against Pass Laws on 9 August 1956. This year marks the 63rd Anniversary of this historic march.
