In commemoration of Women's Month, the Department of Defence (DOD) will host a Gender Conference at Air Force Base Swartkop, Pretoria.
The theme of the conference is: “Put action behind words and reflect the belief of embracing gender mainstreaming in the DOD.”
The Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, will on Wednesday, 19 August 2015, deliver a keynote address highlighting plans to expedite gender equality and women empowerment within the Department of Defence and Military Veterans.
Minister Mapisa-Nqakula will be accompanied by the apex leadership of the ministry.
